Icon Interlude Contest - Final Day

Update: Yup, the contest ends tomorrow (Dec 17th) at 6pm GMT. Why that time? Well it gives people a few extra hours to finish anything or make something quick. I've got a good few entries which is always nice as it's good to see community involvement with projects/contests etc



Welcome to the 2008 Icon Interlude Christmas Contest, yes I know it’s a mouthful

This contest has been created to challenge the talented iconists of deviantART, I set you the task of creating Christmas themed emotes, avatars, pixel art, cursors, pixel baubles or icon packs. They don’t even have to be animated

The contest will run from today, November 7th and close December 17th which gives me a week to review the entries and decide on the finalists who will be announced on Christmas Eve.

You want some goodies in return for your hard work? Well there are plenty to be had

Below you'll find some examples from the 2006 contest, the style & quality vary but that's what I want to see, it doesn't matter if you think you’re crap compared to everyone else I'm looking for creativity and fun ideas, so get to it!

Articles, they're keeping the community informed about emotes/icons much like Emote Expo did and then Icon Interlude, yes I only linked the first one but it‘s easy to find the rest :p Secondly, on a Christmas note I suggest you stop by *santas-workshop it’s a really great idea and they deserve your support. Take a look at this =mazka has an interesting project on the go, so I suggest you swing by the article
